About Us
Our mission
Our Place Community Food Center is a daytime drop-in center that offers help with food and other essential needs in a nonjudgmental, safe, and respectful atmosphere. Since our founding in 1993 (when we were known as Our Place Drop-In Center), we’ve served up food and community to Rockingham and Westminster, Vermont; Walpole, New Hampshire; and surrounding areas. Located in Bellows Falls, Vermont, we serve the community through free meals, a food pantry, social service resources, and grocery delivery to seniors and disabled people.
Our Place distributes more than 185,000 pounds of food every year through our community meals program, food pantry program, and monthly Waypoint Center food distribution program. We serve more than 30,000 meals a year.
Where our food comes from
Our Place sources food from community donations, local farms, local food markets, and Vermont Foodbank. We offer fresh fruits and vegetables in season, in addition to frozen fruits and vegetables. The community meals and food pantry provide the most nutritious food possible, including a variety of produce, dairy, grains, and meats.
